5 Blackhawks questions that will be answered the deadline for trade

The Chicago Blackhawks and the rest of the NHL have the NHL trade deadline. At 2 p.m. Friday, teams can no longer make trades.

Chicago is identified as a seller according to their record this season. The playoffs do not occur for them and it is another season of the deadline of them that looks to the future.

Chicago has already exchanged Taylor Hall and Seth Jones. Will anyone else follow them by the door? Some good players on expired transactions can go, but nothing is certain. These are the five burning questions to which the deadline should be answered.

1. Does the current market consider them to negotiate Alec Martinez?

We have seen depth defenders around the league exchanged against large journeys. For example, the Ducks of Anaheim obtained a prospect written in the third round and a second round choice in the Devils of New Jersey in exchange for Brian Dumoulin on Thursday.

Does this mean that the Blackhawks could get a similar return to Alec Martinez, an aging veteran with great experience in the playoffs? We will know it on the deadline.

2. Will Ryan Donato remain or will he go?

Even more than the defenders, the attackers win huge journeys. Everyone in the league needs aid in the middle. The choices of first and second round fly for these players.

Blackhawks must at least consider a Ryan Donato trade now that the market is what it is. He was very productive this season, especially in strength, which makes him attractive for the contenders.

This is the biggest question for blackhawks at the moment. It seems that they want to extend it, but they can get an offer that they cannot refuse. Will he stay or will he go?

3. Petr Mrazek remains?

The Blackhawks have embarked on a rotation of two goals. Spencer Knight and Arvid Soderblom should rotate the net on the section, leaving Petr Mrazek.

Mrazek is not upset about it and is willing to help these guys as long as he is in Chicago. This does not mean that he will not welcome a business that saves him more playing time. We will see if Kyle Davidson can do it for him.

4. Anyone else on the table negotiated by the Blackhawks?

Will the Blackhawks exchange someone who is not in the general conversation? Craig Smith, Connor Murphy and Pat Maroon are candidates, but the Hawks also need players to play the last games of the season. One, two or none could go, but we will not know it with certainty as long as the pencils are not down at 2 p.m.

5. Will Chicago exchange a teammate from Connor Bedard?

Chicago Blackhawks could also buy on the deadline in one case. This would make Connor Bedard a legitimate teammate can play with the upper line. So far, he has sorely missed this during his NHL career. Abandoning choices and prospects for this reason could help him in the long term. Will they do this now or wait for summer?
