Although the Calgary flames have not done trades since the acquisition of Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost of the Philadelphia Flyers on January 30, one of the former franchise players was in motion twice late Thursday evening.
Oliver Kylington, a second round Flames (60th in total) choice of the 2015 draft was treated from the Colorado avalanche to the New York Islanders in a successful agreement involving Brock Nelson.
As soon as the ink has dried up on these commercial documents, the Islanders sent Kylington to the Anaheim Ducks for future considerations.
After six seasons in Calgary, Kylington signed a free agent with the avalanche on August 5, 2004. In 13 games, he scored a goal and collected four points.

Interestingly, Kylington made the headlines to sit on a season and a half (2022 to 2024) to focus on his mental health in Sweden. His return last season led to a standing ovation at the Saddledome.
In 214 games, he scored 18 goals with 41 assists and 59 points.
