UFC’s heavyweight champion Alex Pereira says he would be open to a boxing match with the world heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk.

Pereira, 37, makes the fourth defense of his light weight title against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313 in Las Vegas on Saturday.

The Brazilian Pereira said that he would go to heavy goods vehicles or middle weights, where he previously held the title.

Jon Jones is the UFC heavyweight champion and Plessis Dricus holds the average weight strap.

“In the future, I would like Dricus or Jon Jones or even fight Oleksandr Usyk in boxing,” said Pereira.

“I see those who may happen, but it does not depend on me. It depends on the UFC.”

When asked if UFC’s involvement in a new boxing league supported by Saudi Arabia could open the way to him to meet WBA (Super), WBC and WBO Heavyweight Usyk, Pereira said he was “happy” to learn the news.

“Who knows – September, Saudi Arabia?” He said.

Ukrainian Usyk is undefeated as a professional and beat Tyson Fury twice in 2024 to cement his place at the top of the heavyweight division.

He became the first undeniable heavyweight champion of the era at four-cerit with his first victory over Fury and was also the undisputed champion of Cruiserweight.

The acting champion of UFC heavy goods vehicles, Tom Aspinall, also said that he wanted to fight Jones.

British Aspinall has not fought since April, when he made the first defense of his title against Curtis Blaydes.

“The plan is to fight Jon this summer,” said UFC president Dana White, to Jim Rome Show.

“My goal this year is to make this fight. When, where and all that is determined. Let’s see how this fight (with Ankalaev) takes place.

“The fight that everyone wants to see at the moment is Jones and Aspinall and there is no doubt that Pereira could fight the winner.”
